Adam I. Wasserman, M.D.

Adam I. Wasserman, M.D. received his B.A. in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University in 1984. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in 1988 and completed his residency at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh in 1991.

In August 1991, Dr. Wasserman joined Gettysburg Family Practice. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. His other certifications include Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. In addition to being full-time at Gettysburg Family Practice, Dr. Wasserman also works at the Gettysburg Hospital as an Emergency Department physician and Hospitalist.

Dr. Wasserman resides in the Gettysburg area with his wife, Diane.

Douglas E. Eyer, M.D.

Douglas E. Eyer, M.D. received his B.A. in Philosophy and History & Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992 with summa cum laude honors. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1996. He completed his residency at Shadyside Family Practice (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1999.

In July 1999, Dr. Eyer joined Gettysburg Family Practice. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice. His other certifications include Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Dr. Eyer resides in Adams County with his wife, Jolene and three children.

William J. Adair, M.D.

William J. Adair, M.D. received his B.S. in Pre-Medicine from Juniata College in 2000, with cum laude honors. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 2004 and completed his residency at Exela Health Latrobe Area Hospital in Latrobe in 2007.

In July 2007, Dr. Adair joined Gettysburg Family Practice. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the American Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Adair resides in the Gettysburg area with his wife, Charity and three children.

Kristi L. Allen, CRNP

Kristi L. Allen, CRNP

Kristi Allen, CRNP, received her BA in Biology from Gettysburg College in 2000 and her BS in nursing from York College in 2002. She worked as an ED nurse in both Carlisle and Gettyburg hospitals as well as Clinical Documentation for Wellspan. She received her MS in nursing from Walden University in 2017. She joined Gettysburg Family Practice in 2018, after a preceptorship during her schooling.

Kristi is certified by, and a member of AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners). She also holds certifications in PALS and ACLS. She resides in the Fairfield area with Roy and their two children.

Melissa C. Kaminski, MPAS, PA-C

Melissa C. Kaminski, MPAS, PA-C received her B.A. in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies from Marywood University in 2015 and her M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies from Marywood University in 2017. After graduation she joined UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Express Care. Melissa joined Gettysburg Family Practice in February 2019.

Melissa is certified by, and a member of AAPA (American Academy of Physician Assistants). She also holds certifications in CPR and BLS. She resides in the Hanover area with her fiance and two dogs.

Justine A. Smith, CRNP

Justine Smith, a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has been a Registered Nurse since 2006. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2006 from Penn State University Mont Alto campus and then her RN-BSN in 2019 from Penn State University World Campus. In March 2023, Justine earned her Master’s in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Justine Is certified and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She holds Basic Life Support Certification. Most of Justine’s career has been spent caring for women and children in both the inpatient setting on labor and delivery and pediatrics and outpatient OBGYN office. She also has worked as a public health nurse serving pregnant woman and their children up until the age of 2 in a home visiting setting. One of the main reasons why Justine wanted to become a Family Nurse Practitioner is so that she can develop relationships with her patients over their lifetime.

Justine lives in Chambersburg PA with her husband, 2 children, and three dogs.
